casoro keypad lockIt’s a common tale we hear from customers at Casoro on a regular basis; in fact, it may happen to you in the future, if it hasn’t happened already. You’ll go to open up your jewelry safe, type in your password, and all of a sudden the electronic lock will not open. You try the password again, but no luck. So, what do you do next? First and foremost, no need to stress, technical issues are bound to happen occasionally with anything electronic, but if you know how to troubleshoot, you will be ok! You’re the reason why our safe specialists at Casoro Jewelry Safes developed a troubleshooting guide to provide the quick fix solutions you’ll require for all of your electronic lock needs.

The first step when it comes to troubleshooting an electronic lock is simple; you’ll need to replace the batteries. It’s important to note that, not just any old batteries will do. Electronic locks require powerful brand new, future dated, good quality brand name batteries (i.e. Duracell or Energizer). Trust us, more often than not, new batteries will fix your lock difficulties. Always try this step first, before going on to any of the other troubleshooting steps.

We hope your lock will be back to full working order after replacing the batteries, but if not, check out our new Electronic Lock Troubleshooting Guide, for more possible solutions. Let us know if you discover any other additional tips along the way that work for you!
