FAQ
What is bubinga?
An African hardwood with a deep reddish-brown color and a pronounced, almost iridescent figure. It is one of the more striking woods we work with, and because it is a natural material, no two interiors are identical.
What does RSC II add over RSC I?
RSC I certifies five minutes of resistance to attack with common hand tools. RSC II certifies ten net working minutes against a skilled professional using high-powered tools. Paired here with a two-hour fire rating, it is a meaningful step up from entry-level protection.
What is the necklace rack for?
It mounts inside the door and hangs long pieces vertically, so chains stay untangled and visible instead of coiled in a drawer. It uses space that would otherwise go unused, which makes it one of the most practical features we build.
What does a two-hour fire rating actually mean?
An independent laboratory heated the safe under controlled fire conditions and certified the interior stayed below 350 degrees Fahrenheit, where paper begins to char, for two full hours. A typical residential fire reaches 1,100 degrees or higher. Two hours suits wildfire-prone regions and irreplaceable pieces.
Will it fit my space?
Its footprint is 41.25″ H x 24″ W x 23″ D at 840 lbs. Measure with the door fully open, since swing clearance is what surprises people, and check the path from your entry. We will review both with you before you order.
Does the safe need to be anchored?
Yes. Weight alone is not security: a crew with dollies and a vehicle can remove an unanchored safe and open it elsewhere. Anchoring is also a seismic safety measure, and many policies require it for coverage. Our team handles it during white-glove delivery and confirms your floor construction before anything is drilled.
