When you’re building your dream jewelry safe with drawers, it helps to know all your options. There are a lot of things that go into designing the right one for your needs, and ultimately, it’s about finding the right balance between security and convenience.

It’s always a good idea to think about the size and shape of your jewelry collection when deciding on drawers, interior, features, and size of your safe.

Choosing the Layout

First, take a look at our layout options so you get a sense of how to configure your safe and where your pieces might go.

Next, take a look at your collection and ask yourself:

  • Do I have a lot of necklaces? Do they fall into rows or curl in a square area?
  • Do I have thin band bracelets or wide bangle bracelets?
  • Do I have statement necklaces that need to lay flat in one large area?
  • Do I have passports, cash, or firearms that need storing?
  • Do I have watches that need to lay flat, on pillows, or on watch winders?

Choosing Your Drawers, Size, and Height

As you’re organizing your valuables, it’s important to consider how many drawers you’ll need. There’s no one-size-fits-all answer here. It all depends on the size of your collection and how you want to organize it. The more drawers you have, the more flexibility you have in how you organize your valuables.

Our safes have a standard configuration of 1.5″ and 3.5″ drawer heights:

  • 1.5″ fits typical jewelry, including earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and rings.
  • 3.5″ fits tall bangles, watches wrapped on pillows, stacks of cash, handguns, passports, and necklace inserts.

Design the Interior for Your Jewelry Safe with Drawers

The drawer liners themselves are a snug fit but not permanent. If your collection changes over time, or you’d like to reorganize, all you have to do is order new liners and swap them out in the comfort of your home. Whatever you choose, you’ll get a classic look that will never go out of style, so you can be sure you’re getting a safe that will last for years to come.
