INSURANCE COMPLIANCE With Casoro

Custom-Built to Meet Your Policy

Casoro Jewelry Safes works directly alongside insurance underwriters and risk management professionals to ensure that every safe we recommend meets — and typically exceeds — the security and fire protection standards that carriers require for high-value collections.

100% of Our Product Line Has Been Verified

Underwriters Laboratories has tested safes since 1923. A UL rating means UL physically attacked this safe with professional tools and certified how long it held: five minutes for RSC I, thirty for TL-30. Your insurance carrier recognizes those numbers. A rating a manufacturer gives itself means nothing to an underwriter.

Certified by the Standards Insurers Trust

Every Casoro safe carries an independent UL or ETL certification, the third-party verification that insurance professionals trust and that policies increasingly require.

Insurer-Approved from Day One

Casoro is recognized and approved by many of the top insurance companies in the country, and we engage with insurers early in the process  before a safe is purchased so that our clients never face the costly and disruptive experience of installing a safe only to discover their carrier requires a higher-rated replacement.

Peace of Mind

For you, this means genuine peace of mind on two levels. The right safe, selected with your insurance requirements already in mind, protects your collection from the threats your carrier has identified as most significant for your location, your collection's value, and your loss history. It also protects your coverage itself. A safe that does not meet underwriting requirements is not simply a security gap, it is a potential basis for a denied claim. Casoro removes that risk entirely by treating insurance compatibility not as an afterthought, but as a foundational part of the conversation from day one.
Read Our Whitepaper About Designing for Risk

We recommend every client take the following steps before purchasing a safe:

1
Contact your insurance broker or carrier first. Let them know you are investing in a high-security safe for your collection. Ask what UL burglary rating and fire rating they require at your current collection value, as well as what they will require if your collection grows.
2
Share your location and loss history. Your carrier assesses risk based on where you live, local theft and fire exposure, and your personal claims history. These factors directly influence which safe they will approve.
3
Get the requirement in writing. A verbal confirmation is not enough. Ask your carrier to document the safe specification they require so there is no dispute at claim time.
4
Bring us into the conversation. If you are unsure how to interpret your carrier's requirements, or if your carrier has questions about a specific Casoro safe, we are happy to speak with them directly. Our team has worked with underwriters at many of the country's leading insurers and can help ensure everyone is aligned before you invest.
The earlier your carrier is involved, the smoother the process — and the more confident you can be that the safe you choose will protect both your collection and your coverage.

Independent Testing Verifies Our Fire Resistant Safes

A fire rating names two numbers: how long, and how hot inside. Casoro safes are certified to hold their interiors below 350°F, the point paper begins to char, for up to two hours. Residential fires reach 1,100°F. Without independent testing, a fire claim is just a claim.
